Shawnee Mountain's Scout Weekend is back and better than ever. Join us this winter for a weekend of winter fun with fellow scouts and your family. We have added activities, plus overnight lodging and meal options. Scouts are invited to work towards earning snow sport merit badges, learn a snow sport and enjoy a weekend on the mountain. Come with your troop, or come on your own. No minimum required.

Discounted Scout Weekend rates can be use by scouts and their immediate family members (parents & siblings).

Lift Tickets: Lift Tickets are valid from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
Patches: Commemorative Patches available at the event while supplies last.
Breakfast: A special hearty breakfast sandwich, fried
potatoes plus a large hot beverage.
Lunch: Choice of hamburger, cheeseburger, chicken sandwich or garden salad
plus fries and a medium fountain drink.
SCOUT WEEKEND ACTIVITIES
In-Season Snow Sports Merit Badge "Get Ready" Workshop
January 23 & 24 or January 30 & 31
This one day workshop is by reservation only. The “Get Ready” Workshop is a 1.5 hour long clinic and covers Scout Weekend testing requirements. Evaluation and practice recommendations will be given to prepare scouts who are taking the Partial Snow Sports Merit Badge Test on Scout Weekend. Lesson curriculum is the same during each workshop.
All-day lift ticket, 1.5 hour workshop, and lunch - $70.00 per person;
With rentals - $95.00 per person
Add a helmet rental for $8.50 per person
There must be at least 5 skiers to conduct the ski option workshop,
and at least 5 snowboarders to conduct the snowboard option workshop
The 1.5 hour lesson will begin at 11:45am

Partial Snow Sports Merit Badge Test - 12:45 PM @ Learning Center
Saturday & Sunday of Scout Weekend
This 1-hour on-mountain test will be held on Scout Weekend and is designed for novice skilled skiers and snowboarders (No Snow Blades) to complete 1-5 requirements for the Snow Sports Merit Badge. This test is not for first timers. Blue Cards will only be signed if the participant possesses the required skills and knowledge.
Scouts are encouraged to print the appropriate Snow Sports Merit Badge excerpts (below) and practice the required skills/knowledge to pass the tested sections of the Partial Snow Sports Merit Badge Test.

All Inclusive Snow Sports Merit Badge Clinic and Test
Saturday of Scout Weekend Only
This clinic and test is by reservation only and is intended for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders who are prepared and serious about achieving the Snow Sports Merit Badge. This 6-hour in-classroom and on-mountain clinic will cover all of the Snow Sports Merit Badge requirements.
All-day lift ticket, 6 hour clinic/test, and lunch - $90.00 per person;
With rentals - $108.00 per person
Add a helmet rental for $8.50 per person
The 6 hour clinic will take place from 10am-4pm
There must be at least 5 skiers to conduct the ski option clinic/test, and at least 5 snowboarders to conduct the snowboard option clinic/test.

MOUNTAIN SNOW RALLY – 10:00 AM @ Mountainside of the Clock Tower Breezeway
You WIN when you reach all check points, closest to the “pace-setter’s” established time!
Teams of two will compete to reach 4-5 check-points based on provided clues. The snow rally tests your
“Braininess” and “Gamesmanship”. Participants must be able to confidently ski or snowboard “top of the mountain” terrain and trails.
Compete in your troops name? Shawnee Mountain Gift Card Prizes awarded for:
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for successful completion and closest to pacesetter’s time
