Burning Bridget Cleary Band Members

Burning Bridget Cleary - Now in their fourth year together, Burning Bridget Cleary hit the ground running in 2006, performing at major festivals, concert stages and regional events like old pros . . . and all this while the girls are still in their teens! Their second CD, “Everything is Alright”, is a mix of Celtic and folk styles with equal parts original and traditional tunes that has received high praise in the Celtic music world. Rose Baldino and Genna Gillespie met as pre-teens at a traditional Irish music session. Since that time, both have been first-place trophy winners at Celtic Classic fiddle competitions. Genna and Rose were both born into musical families (Genna’s parents are founding members of the Celtic band, Blackwater). The natural pairing of these talented young women, backed on guitar by Rose’s dad, Lou, and joined by Peter Trezzi on djembe, has created a polished musical team that is sought after for their high-spirited performances. Jack Baker of the Irish American News named them “One of the most exciting bands I have seen in the last couple of years”.

The Juggernaut String Band - Juggernaut fuses American banjo and African hand drums with traditional and original songs for a sound they call “Appalachian Juju,” the title of their newest CD. The African roots of American blues run through the songs penned by banjo player Peter Taney, uniting the fiddling of Janet Bregman-Taney with the tribal rhythms of drummers Michael Cooke, Orion Cooke, and Lambert Walker.

The Lost Ramblers - Formed in 1978, the Lost Ramblers have been making music ever since. The band specializes in bluegrass and old timey music but also offers an eclectic mix of Celtic, Jazz, polka and even klezmer tunes. The Lost Ramblers' influences come from the bluegrass world as well as a hard-driving traditional. Of course, many other sounds have entered the band's repertoire--too many to mention. They remain a hard-core, good time musical force and have managed to keep their sound fresh after all these years. Wherever the Ramblers are playing, a good time is being had--and they're always looking for new ways to have fun!
