The Poconos' Wurst Festival is back with even more wursts, wieners, kielbasa, pierogies and brews! With both Polish and German themes, the event will feature 3 stages of music, traditional costumed dance performances, pig and “hot dog” races, ethnic craft vendors, new “Bier Stein Olympics”- fun games for adults and plenty of wursts, wieners, kielbasa, pierogies and cold brews. Children’s entertainment will include the Puppen Meister marionette show, Brat Man living statue, rubber duck races, bavarian juggling shows and face painting.
Old World Sausage Making Demos... Using commonly found ingredients and meats, Nello's Specialty Meats, will show Wurst festival-goers how to prepare a variety of sausage products that can be made at home.

The Polka Naturals were founded in 1984 under the direction of accordionist Eddie Derwin, is a favorite traditional Polka band from the Pennsylvania Coal Region performing at festivals and functions throughout the tri-state area. Performing both Saturday & Sunday.
Apple Strudel Gang -
The Apple Strudel Gang is a great German Ompah band with strong performances by Mark on accordion, Sheila on vocals and boombas, clarinet, trombone, tuba and trumpet. They perform wonderful songs of the present day German genre and great tunes from the Rheingold orchestra song book from pre World War II Germany. Performing Saturday. One Man Polka Band -
One Man Polka Band and JD Jerzy has been providing music, fun and dancing for over 35 years, playing traditional Polish music as well as anything that ranges from Country to Todays Big Hits. He singer, plays the accordion, guitar and piano. His music is on every occasion. Performing Sunday. Eric Kerssen - NJ's Hardest Working Accordionist -
Eric has been playing the accordion since the age of 6. He took lessons at Castro Music Studio in Fairview, New Jersey for 10 years. His teacher, Mr. Rick Capra, being an accordionist throughout the Big Band Era and beyond, shared his love for the music of that era, and that remains some of Eric’s favorite music to play. His repertoire has expanded to include Show Tunes, Rock n’ Roll, German, Italian, Russian, as well as the Standards.

Liter Stein Bucket Race
Speed and accuracy are key... Teams of four will compete in a bier stein water relay where each player will fill the next player's stein until they overflow the bucket at the end.
How long can you hoist? The game is simple, how long can you hold a two, 1 Liter steins filled to the brim with liquid? The steins must be held by a straight ninety degree arm in front of entrant, parallel to the floor with elbows locked. Once entrant’s elbow bends or spills/drops the stein, entrant loses the contest.
Beer Belly Contest
Fellas, do you think your gut has what it takes to win this glorious recognition? If so, then come out and compete in the Wurst Fest Best Beer Belly contest. Candidates will be judged on size and personality by the audience. May the best belly win!
1. No contest entry fee applies.
However, you must pay admission at the gate to enter the Festival.
2. All entries must be 21 years of age or older.
3. All entries must be willing to “bare the belly” to the audience.

“Old World” Sausage Making presented by Nello’s Specialty Meats of Nazareth, PA.
Apprenticed under Master Butcher Guenther “Hank” Schineller, Nello Loiacono will present and demonstrate the craft of “Old World” sausage making. Using commonly found ingredients and meats, Nello will show Wurst festival-goers how to prepare a variety of sausage products that can be made at home. Nello will also grill up specialty products for taste-testing and he’ll have recipes to give out.
