The Poconos' Wurst Festival is back with even more wursts, wieners, kielbasa, pierogies and brews! With both Polish and German themes, the event will feature 3 stages of music, traditional costumed dance performances, pig and “hot dog” races, ethnic craft vendors, new “Bier Stein Olympics”- fun games for adults and plenty of wursts, wieners, kielbasa, pierogies and cold brews. Children’s entertainment will include the Puppen Meister marionette show, Brat Man living statue, rubber duck races, bavarian juggling shows and face painting.

Bring your appetite... Food vendors will be serving up the best wursts, potato salad, red cabbage, apple strudel, BBQ kielbase, pierogi, potatoe pancake pastie, sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage,potatoe dumplings, sauerbraten, bratwurst, schnitz un knepp, schweineschnitzel, szaszlyk, bigos, kiszka, golonka and more.

The Chardon Polka Band is known for being innovative and extremely adaptive with the ability to please almost any audience; whether it be 20-somethings at a college hang-out, or the patrons of a local senior center. In their nine years together, the band has made a name for itself by adding a colorful twist to the traditional genre of the polka. Performing both Saturday & Sunday.

One Man Polka Band -
One Man Polka Band and JD Jerzy has been providing music, fun and dancing for over 35 years, playing traditional Polish music as well as anything that ranges from Country to Todays Big Hits. He singer, plays the accordion, guitar and piano. His music is on every occasion. Performing on Sunday.

Joe Stanky & the Cadets -
Joe Stanky & the Cadets have been performing for over 25 years appearing at venues from Texas to Massachusetts and Florida to Michigan. Performing on Saturday.

The Austrian Boys -
The Austrian Boys Band, founded forty years ago by Frank Billowitz, Sr., carries on the tradition of distinctive regional Austrian-German music here in the U.S. Performing on Saturday.

Eddie Derwin & the Polka Naturals -
Performing on Sunday.

The Adlers -
The Adlers Band has been providing music, fun and dancing for over 30 years. Established in the Fall of 1979, The Adlers German/Austrian Band did its first official performance in Magic Valley Amusement Park in Bushkill, PA. Performing on Sunday.

Bier Stein Olympics

 

Held Saturday & Sunday during the festival

Liter Stein Bucket Race
Speed and accuracy are key... Teams of four will compete in a bier stein water relay where each player will fill the next player's stein until they overflow the bucket at the end.

Stein Hoisting
How long can you hoist? The game is simple, how long can you hold a 1 Liter glass stein filled to the brim with liquid and held by a straight ninety degree arm in front of entrant, parallel to the floor with elbows locked. Once entrant’s elbow bends or spills/drops the stein, entrant loses the Contest.
