Shawnee on Delaware, PA - As part of Ski Shawnee Inc.’s overall Master Plan for Shawnee Mountain’s future expansion Shawnee Place Play & Water Park will no longer be in operation at the base of Shawnee Mountain.
Built in 1981, the park operated successfully for 28 summers under its original design. It was simply time for renovation. The dismantling and clearing of the park area is underway and will be completed this Spring of 2009.
For Summer 2009, the park area will be used as additional space for Shawnee Mountain’s growing list of Summer and Fall Festivals & Events.
Ski Shawnee Inc. sincerely hopes the hundreds of thousands of children who visited the park over the years will remember Shawnee Place with happy memories of summertime fun.
