Meet and Greet Friday! Meet two of our ski patrollers. Hi! Iâm Savannah, Carrieâs adventure friend! I was 3 years Old when I started skiing at Shawnee and have been a patroller at Shawnee for 22 years. I learned how to ski at shawnee and grew up as a âpatrol ratâ (My father was a patroller for 47 years.) I started skiing at Shawnee Mountain when I was 4 years old with my dad. Years later while working through college I became a lift attendant, and started ski patrol 13 years ago. I took a 4 year hiatus to live the ski bum life in Summit County Colorado but returned to ski with friends and family. Hi Iâm Carrie, Savannahâs adventure friend! When Iâm not hiking or skiing uphill with Van, Iâm busy working at the family company installing fire sprinklers. In the off season, you can find me training for triathlons, hiking, or paddle boarding on the lake with my dog Eli trying to work off all those tater tots from ski season. Whenever the time is available I usually seek out an epic adventure with my best bud Carrie, whether trekking, skiing or paddling itâs always a good time with your adventure friend! #myshawnee
We want send out a big congratulations to this beautiful couple, Josh and Teslin! Josh grew up at Shawnee Mountain and has been an employee on and off (in between school and he is also a Sergeant in the Army) since he was 14. His mother Dana has been a dedicated employee for 45 years. They were supposed to be married in Teslin's hometown in Alaska this summer, but due to the Coronovirus had to be cancelled. They did not want to wait another whole year possibly and decided to have an intimate ceremony with 11 of their closest friends and family at the summit of the ski area. What a beautiful day, congratulations again to the happy couple!
We are diligent about making sure our lifts are properly maintined and inspected during our off season. Crane time for some routine maintenance with our fantastic lift crew. #myshawnee
Meet and Greet Friday! Hi I am Robin Manfredi, Children's Program Director, and wife of Ronnie Manfredi, Ski School Director, which by the way is way more difficult then my awesome job at Shawnee Mountain! Could be the isolation of Covid that made me say that, but in all seriousness we are a work family and that is why I have been Director for 25 years and employee for 33! In 1987 I discovered I had a winter play ground right in my back yard, 6 miles from my front door! I started working as an instructor for Lindy Lesoine in SKIwee, and our friendship and careers florished! 1995 sadly, Lindy moved to Florida and I took over as Director! I cannot possibly tell all the stories we have accumulated, but the friends I have made over these amazing years are unforgettable! Our staff, our internationals, and our customers are friends for life, and I am grateful to have had an amazing career at our mountain! I say that with a giggle because we do amazing numbers and have amazing amount of successful skiers and riders in a short period of time! When I am not at Shawnee I am caring for my horses, cat and 2 dogs! I love camping with friends and spending time on our boat, but I do not fish, and I love my beautiful gardens! #myshawnee

Meet and Greet Friday! Hi! My name is Tamy Galfo. I have been married to my husband, Dennis, for almost 39 years. What most people donât know is that we met in kindergarten and share the exact same birthday. We have 2 grown children, Anthony and Trista, who have both also worked for Shawnee Mt and learned to ski and snowboard here, and 3-soon to be 4 grandchildren. I started working at Shawnee Mt in December of 1998 as a part-time cafeteria worker, a couple nights a week and Saturday. In the summer, I worked full-time when the water park was open. The following 2 winters, I added more hours and in January 2001 I became one of the night supervisors. Later that year, I was promoted to Assistant Food Manager and in October 2005 to Food and Beverage Director. I oversee the restaurant, and all of the food courts and bars. I enjoy talking with our guests and answering their questions about our food items. It is gratifying to meet their different dietary needs. It is hard to believe that I have been working here for over 21 years! I have had the pleasure of seeing many of our staff come in as their first job at 14 and return each year thru college graduation. I truly feel that we are one big family. I love my job, the people I work with, the people I work for, and of course our guests. When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling when possible, reading- especially on my back deck on my porch swing, and spending time with my family and grand kids. #myshawnee
Congratulations to these three students! What a fantastic job they did on this video! â Three students at J.T. Lambert Intermediate, a middle school in the East Stroudsburg, PA School District, received First Place in the Digital Movie category of the Pennsylvania Middle School Media Design competition. Rylee Davis, Jamisyn Aillet, and Rese Schlameuss created a promotional video highlighting the benefits of Shawnee Mountainâs group club program as an after-school activity. Davis, Aillet, and Schlameuss were a part of JT Lambertâs ski club during the 2019/2020 season and worked closely with Kevin Adams, Shawneeâs Group Sales Director and Terry Toth, Media Design Teacher, to create a video promotion about the club program. Work on the project was done over a two month time period, starting with a detailed story board and ending with editing and a voiceover completed by classmate Joseph Manza. The students shot all of the video footage themselves while at the mountain for their club ski trips. Meet and Greet Friday! Meet Kevin Adams.... When I started at Shawnee Mountain in October of 1985 in our sales department, I didnât think Iâd last 6 months; that was almost 35 years ago. My name is Kevin Adams and I am the Group Sales Director for the ski area. Our department sells and services discount group trip packages for 15+ people. My job is a lot of fun because I get to work with some wonderful group leaders (and co-workers, of course) but itâs the kids I enjoy the most. I love to see a school student in ski club, a scout or church youth group member on a day trip, learn to ski and snowboard for the first time; they are proud of their success and we feel good that weâve helped them accomplish something new. Hereâs some side-trivia; I opened our sit-down restaurant back in June of 1988 and I was the person who named it, âHickory Licks Charcoal Houseâ. When I canât ski, I like to garden, travel and drive old Volvos.
Meet and Greet Friday!! Hello, my name is Joshua Urciuoli and I am currently the Base Operations Manager at Shawnee Mountain. My career at Shawnee Started in my late teens as a snowmaker during college and then a full time snowmaker for several years. In my mid 20âs I transitioned into marketing and had the distinct pleasure of working closely with Harry Adams on our after school ski and ride program before becoming the rental shop manager. The highlight of my career has certainly been watching our rental staff grow up, move on, and return to say hello, reminisce, take a few runs, or give their kids the mountain tour. My goal for our 20/21 season is to get back out on the snow more! Although Shawnee is what brought me here, Iâd have to say the Delaware River has had a huge part in keeping me. In the other three seasons my pleasure is had on the river fishing, enjoying family and friend time, paddle boarding and boating. #myshawnee
