2018 Autumn Timber Festival

Shawnee on Delaware, PA – The Autumn Timber Festival will be held at Shawnee Mountain on October 6 and 7, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This festival offers a weekend of entertainment, music, food and festivities. Guests will also be able to take in the fall foliage of the Pocono Mountains. Featured entertainment is the 2018 Timber Team Ironjack Show. World Class Lumberjacks will thrill spectators with both demonstrations and competitions in the pole climb, log roll, chop, saw and chainsaw. A colorful announcer combines folklore, comedy and history into each 30 minute show to encourage a rowdy frontier spirit. Three shows will be performed daily.

New for 2018, Delwin Fiddler Jr, a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and a world renowned Native American performance artist, will share traditional songs, dances and flute playing dressed in full Native American regalia. There will be two educational shows daily. Delwin will also be available for photos and questions both days of the festival.

On stage, live musical entertainment will be provided both days by The Sidekicks, a country cover band that is sure to play everyone’s favorite country tunes! The Lost Ramblers will stroll the festival grounds both Saturday and Sunday playing high energy Appalachian music that runs the gamut from bluegrass to gospel, swing and old-time music in three-part harmonies.

Festival Americana and novelty entertainers include David Feimster’s “Sue Wee” Pig Racing, Magician Stephen Christopher’s Traveling Medicine Show, Paul Bunyan Stilt Walker, “Pie Man” the Living Statue and face painting by Aardvark Entertainment. Several chainsaw carvers will demonstrate and display throughout the weekend. Also, new for 2018 is the Barnes Yard Petting Zoo.

Along with specialty food vendors, beverages will be available outdoors as well as indoors in the EZ Bumps Saloon. The indoor Hope Lodge Café will also be open during the festival.

For a spectacular view of the Poconos’ fall foliage, guests will be able to take a scenic chairlift ride on Shawnee Mountain’s Tomahawk Express Quad Lift. Rides will be available from noon to 4 p.m. each day at an additional cost of $10 Adult and $8 for children (minimum height 48 inches).
