Shawnee on Delaware, PA – Enjoy the tastes of summer at Shawnee Mountain’s Sweet Corn & BBQ Festival on August 4 & 5, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We have an awesome line-up of some of the best local and award-winning BBQ vendors in the region. Vendors will also be roasting corn with delectable toppings and flavors all weekend long!
The Cramer Brothers Band will perform on the main stage on Saturday and the Brian Dean Moore Band will perform on Sunday. Country line dancing demonstrations will also be provided in front of the main stage. Michael Cabot, a 1970s folk cover artist, will be performing in the EZ Bumps Saloon.
The NEW Cornhole Tournament will take place at the base of the mountain from noon to 3 p.m. both days. Participants will compete in teams of two. The entry fee is $30 per team (this will include admission to the festival). The tournament will be single round elimination and will follow the standard American Cornhole Organization rules. The first-place and second-place teams will receive great prizes each day. Teams must call (570) 421-7231 to register for the tournament.
The Country Kids area will provide staged magic and juggling shows and summer picnic games. There will also be a Blueberry Pie Eating Contest under the main festival tent.
On Saturday, the Educational & Demo Tent will feature a humorous and informative presentation about butterflies by the Butterfly Guy, Rick Mikula. On Sunday, there will be a Close Encounters with Birds of Prey show with Bill Streeter from the Delaware Valley Raptor Center. The show will include six live raptors and provide viewers with a greater knowledge and appreciation of the raptors of the Northeast.
The event will be held rain or shine. Advanced Festival Admission Tickets, Adults $9 and Children ages 5–12 $7.50, age 4 and under FREE, are now on sale. Plenty of FREE onsite parking is provided.
