Color Run for Summit School

Color Run for the Summit School

people at color run at shawnee mountain

Welcome to the 3rd annual SSP Color Run at Shawnee Mountain!

A 5K fun run or walk event designed for the whole family!

Participants will be sprayed and doused in vibrant colors (non-toxic, corn starch color powder) while making it around the course. The terrain is pretty flat and also stroller and wheel chair accessible. You can skip, jump, run or walk - just come and have fun!

You will love the color celebrations at the finish line and enjoy great energy with music, food trucks and other entertainment!

This event is created and organized by the Summit School of the Poconos - Monroe County's first and only project based STEAM school! This is a rain or shine event.

Is the color safe and washable?

Yes! It is non-toxic, corn starch based color. There is a possibility of the color staining. If you register early, you will receive a t-shirt just for the event, but be sure to wear bottoms, shoes, and other clothing that you don't mind staining. If you have light colored or highlighted hair, we suggest wearing a hat or bandana or lightly oiling your hair with coconut oil, olive oil, or leave-in conditioner.

If you have allergies or breathing problems, we recommend possibly covering your mouth/ nose with a bandana, and/ or running around the color stations along the course. You can still get plenty colorful by using your color package on the rest of your body :)
