Shawnee Mountain is going to the dogs! Well, just for a weekend.

Dogs are our best friends, and we have just the event for you! Come out to the area’s first Pocono Puppy Palooza on September 23rd and 24th, 2017. There will be many activities for you and your dog to participate in. Each dog's admission fee will help our local rescue and shelters continue saving animals.



Join us for an action packed weekend of canine fun. There will be local area dog trainers showcasing their expertise.

Demonstrations & Training

Presented by Zuke's, Sit, Stay, 'N Play & Pet Waste Eliminators

Demonstrations occuring throughout the day:

Agility: Dog and handlers negotiate an obstacle course racing against the clock.

Nose Work: An exciting sport modeled after real world substance detection. In nose work, your dog searches for essential oils, usually on a Qtip.

Treibball: urban herding, or hearding without the sheep.

Rally-Obedience: Rally course has road signs tellng the "driver" where to go and what to do.

Explosive & Narcotic Demos: demonstration where dogs will search for explosives or narcotics. There will not be any real explosives or narcotic substances permitted at the event. Essential oils will be substituted.



There will also a canine good citizen test.

Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix have appeared on Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus and on David Letterman! Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix is a slapstick comedy act like no other. Johnny leads over a dozen dogs through challenging and hilarious tricks as Johnny plays the straight man role in this wonderful show.

Keystone DockDogs!

Keystone DockDogs is an affiliate club of the DockDogs World Wide organization that sponsors club events throughout the Pennsylvania area. DockDogs is an exciting activity that gives the whole family an opportunity to compete and have fun with their pets. Through DockDogs you will create friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

Puppy Parade

The Puppy Parade will include a costume contest, owner/dog look-alike, shortest tail contest and a longest ears contest!

DOGS MUST BE UNDER CONTROL AT ALL TIMES

Except when they are performing, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.



No retractable leashes are permitted.



Please ensure your dog is already properly socialized and not in heat.
