Finally, a play area just for the kids!

Closed for the 23/24 season. Thank you for making it’s first season here so fun and successful!
One of the most frequent questions we receive is “what can my child do if they’re not tubing or skiing/riding?” This especially came from parents of children too young to do either activity. This winter, we are excited to announce our new play area, the Mini Monster Mountain. The play area is now conveniently located at our beginners area.

About the Mini Monster Mountain:

This area is recommended for children up through the age of 8, and will feature activities and equipment meant to encourage snow play. There will be a small admission fee that will be waived for the children of Season Passholders, and will be monitored by Shawnee Mountain staff (parent supervision still required). Please do not go onto the snow until the time of your session.  Please do not add adults to each child. We only allow up to 2 adults allowed per family (not child). We reserve the right to turn away adults if there is not enough room in the play area for the children.

 

The cost is $10/hour per child. An adult is required to be with the child but there is no cost for them to enter. We only allow up to 2 adults allowed per family (not child). We reserve the right to turn away adults if there is not enough room in the play area for the children.

Children of 23/24 Season Pass holders are free, as well as children who have their own Season Pass. To get your Mini Monster Mountain ticket, you must go to Guest Services the day-of and sign a waiver to get your tickets (based on availability).

  • The Mini Monster Mountain is recommended for ages 8 and under.
  • One parent/guardian age 18+ is required to be inside with your kid(s). Max of two adults per family (you cannot have 2 adults with each child in the same family).
  • Max of 15 kids per session.
  • No snow sports equipment (including ski boots) allowed in the area.
  • No personal play equipment allowed, this includes sleds.
  • We reserve the right to turn away adults if there is not enough room in the play area for the children.
