One of the most frequent questions we receive is “what can my child do if they’re not tubing or skiing/riding?” That’s where the Mini Monster Mountain comes in! The play area is conveniently located in our beginners area.

Located at our beginners area and conveniently adjacent to our lesson area, parents with older children in lessons can watch them while younger ones play nearby. This area is designed for children up to age 8 and features activities and equipment for snow play. There is a small admission fee, waived for children of Season Passholders, and it will be supervised by Shawnee Mountain staff (parental supervision still required). Please refrain from entering the play area until your session time and limit adults to two per family. We reserve the right to refuse entry to adults if space becomes limited for children.

  • The cost is $10/hour per child. An adult is required to be with the child but there is no cost for them to enter. We only allow up to 2 adults allowed per family (not child).
  • The Mini Monster Mountain is recommended for ages 8 and under.
  • One parent/guardian age 18+ is required to be inside with your kid(s). Max of two adults per family (you cannot have 2 adults with each child in the same family).
  • Max of 15 kids per session.
  • No snow sports equipment (including ski boots) allowed in the area.
  • No personal play equipment allowed, this includes sleds.
  • We reserve the right to turn away adults if there is not enough room in the play area for the children.
  • Children of 25/26 Season Pass holders are free, as well as children who have their own Season Pass. To get your Mini Monster Mountain ticket, you must go to Guest Services the day-of and sign a waiver to get your tickets (based on availability).
